The principle

Skinboosters contain mainly hyaluronic acid and glycerol, and work by moisturizing and stimulating the skin’s collagen production.

Hyaluronic acid is a natural component of the skin, responsible for its hydration and firmness. As we age, hyaluronic acid production declines, which can lead to dull, dry skin and wrinkles. Glycerol is a powerful moisturizing agent with visible results.

Skinboosters injections therefore increase skin hydration from within and stimulate collagen production, improving skin texture, firmness and overall appearance .

Indications

Skinbooster injections are particularly useful for people with dry or dull skin, as well as for those who want to prevent the signs of aging and the appearance of wrinkles on their face, décolleté or hands.

• Face: treatment of fine wrinkles and superficial fine lines, correction of dehydration and improvement of skin texture on various facial areas, including cheeks, crow’s feet and neck.
• The hypersensitivity of certain skin types is also significantly improved.

These injections are superficial and do not alter facial volumes in any way. They can be performed in conjunction with other types of injections, such as botulinum toxin, hyaluronic acid or Radiesse®-type filling injections.

What happens during a Skinboosters injection session?

At the Claris Clinic, Skinboosters injections are always performed by a qualified aesthetic physician, after consultation. Before treatment, the doctor will examine the patient’s skin to determine the areas to be treated and the number of sessions required.

It is advisable not to take aspirin or anti-inflammatory drugs three days before the session. Skinboosters are injected using a very fine needle. Hyaluronic acid is injected superficially under the skin in multiple locations. The session lasts around 30 minutes. Resumption of activities is immediate.

The treatment is generally painless and the results of Skinboosters injections are immediate. A local anesthetic cream can be applied before the session to reduce discomfort during injections. After treatment, the patient may experience slight pain, redness or small bruises, which frequently disappear within a few days.

After the injections

For the first 12 hours after treatment, make-up and other cosmetic treatments should be avoided in the injected area. As with hyaluronic acid injections, you should also avoid saunas, steam baths, exposure to UV light and cold, and strenuous physical activity. Alcohol consumption before and after injections may increase the risk of hematomas.

What results can we expect?

The results of Skinboosters injections are visible immediately after the procedure and continue to improve over time. Skin will be more hydrated, firmer and smoother. Results can last up to six months, depending on skin quality and the patient’s lifestyle.

The number of sessions required for Skinboosters injections can vary according to each person’s needs and aesthetic goals. In general, most patients can see a significant improvement in the quality of their skin after two to three sessions, spaced four weeks apart.
