The procedure

A preliminary consultation with the specialist doctor at one of our aesthetic clinics in Belgium will enable us to discuss your medical history and expectations.

Before starting the procedure, the doctor determines the route and number of threads to be used on your face. A local anaesthetic is then applied to ensure your comfort during the procedure.

Absorbable threads are inserted under the skin using a micro cannula, a method that leaves no scars. The threads, with their multiple asperities, are fixed under the skin without the need for sutures, enabling the skin tissue to be lifted.

Notched tensor threads are generally well tolerated and do not cause allergies. You can resume your usual activities immediately after the procedure. The tightening effect of the threads is visible as soon as they are in place, but definitive results appear after a few days. These results are optimized in the days and weeks that follow, thanks to the stimulation of new collagen fiber production induced by the threads. Tensor threads can be used in conjunction with other aesthetic medicine treatments, such as hyaluronic acid injections.

Side effects and risks
