Breast hypertrophy (too big breasts) is due to an excessive development of the mammary gland, with or without excess fat, and is characterised by an excessive volume of the breasts in relation to the general morphology.
This phenomenon can have physical and psychological repercussions in daily life. In addition, the excess weight it generates can lead to skin slackening, back and muscle pain, poor back and shoulder posture, or even attract unwanted glances. After treatment of the breast hypertrophy, women immediately regain physical and mental well-being.
Breast reduction
Breast reduction is a surgical procedure that removes fat and glandular tissue from the breasts and firms up the skin to make the breasts smaller, better positioned and more proportionate to the rest of the body. Women with too big breasts who are dissatisfied with their appearance and/or suffer from neck or back pain may benefit from a breast reduction in order to regain firmer and more supportive breasts.
Gynaecomastia
Gynaecomastia (excessive breast development in men) can affect men of all ages and weights. Usually it has no known cause, and can lead to discomfort or embarrassment in situations ranging from wearing swimwear, to tight-fitting shirts or playing sports. Gynaecomastia is usually reduced only by liposuction.
